The Global Burden of Disease (GBD) provides a tool to quantify health loss from hundreds of diseases, injuries, and risk factors, so that health systems can be improved and disparities can be eliminated. The University of Washington School of Medicine, the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) was founded in 2007. It is the most important institution leading the research on the global burden of disease.
We are honored to invited Dr. Christopher J.L. Murray, IHME Director; Department of Health Metrics Sciences in University of Washington give us a Special Lecture on Global Burden of Disease.
