Course Description

This course aims to provide students with an understanding of the concepts, development trends, implementation challenges and innovative cases of smart long-term care services, and cultivate students’ ability to analyze and evaluate smart long-term care (LTC) services. Smart LTC refers to the use of smart technologies to improve the quality and efficiency of LTC and to meet the individualized needs of older adults. Smart LTC services can include technologies such as remote monitoring, wearables, smart home, Internet of Things, and block chain to enhance the safety and comfort of older adults. This course will provide students with knowledge and skills related to smart LTC services through lectures, discussions, interviews and presentations, and encourage students to be creative and innovative in proposing their own smart LTC service solutions.
